  • You will be responsible for the design and implementation and test of real time embedded software for controlling all motion within medical systems
  • You will be part of the Business Unit IGT Systems, which is responsible for marketing, development, manufacturing, services and solutions in the area of cardiac and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention.
  • You will join a high-performance and culturally diverse department in a dynamic environment. The department consists of 35-40 highly educated software engineers responsible for developing the robotic subsystems of our interventional X-ray systems.
  • You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where you get to work on a solution that makes the difference in the operating room, where you will not only improve your software development skills but also your knowledge within the medical domain of X-ray for cardiovascular system.
  • This flexible role offers you the opportunity to work on a hybrid working model (spend at least 3 days working from the office and up to 2 days from home).

You're the right fit if:
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant Software Engineering field
  • You have over 5 years’ experience in real-time embedded software development
  • You have full lifecycle software development experience
  • You have C++ experience
  • You have experience working with a very large codebase (new and legacy code) requiring new features added, updates, (bug)fixing and improvements in existing code
  • You are a team player who can work well with cross functional teams and comfortably engage and communicate with technical and non-technical team members
  • You possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • You possess a lean/pragmatic attitude who can drive change and continuously seeks improvements and ways to reduce ‘waste’
  • Experience in working in a healthcare or other regulated environment product development environment is an advantage
  • Experience in working with EtherCAT is an advantage.
